There are plenty of budget-priced reels out there and for under 50 quid you'll be hard pushed to find a better model than the P3 Exage 2500RA. Match Fishing editor Dave Harrell certainly thinks so anyway...
You get a lot of reel for your money when it comes to Shimano and this model's no exception. Its attention to detail is outstanding, especially when you consider that you get a micro-adjustable Fightin' Drag system to allow perfect tension on your drag. There's a spare, deep spool supplied and the reel itself is very classy and well finished. It's a superb all-round reel that'll serve any angler well. Worth every penny!
