Sales Manager/Fish Division
Position is based in Irvine, CA
General Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the sales of a broad portfolio of fishing related products including rods, reels, lures, line and gear. It requires working with outside independent sales reps to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
The ideal candidate will have industry specific experience in analyzing market segments and channels and developing dynamic strategic plans supported by detailed forecasts. Travel and fishing are required in order to continually update market trends, execute business plans and build relationships with key customers.
Principal Responsibilities:
Sales Management
• Create and maintain detailed sales plans for a large number of customers
• Build relationships with customers to identify sales trends and continually update a strategic business plan
• Manage a sales team to get results
• Attend trade and consumer shows and other key market events
Forecasting and Inventory Management
• Develop detailed sales forecasts as required to operate the business
• Work with a Supply Chain team to ensure timely delivery and strong fill rates to our customers based on the forecasts
• Identify risks and opportunities in the sales plan on a continual basis with specific action plans
Reporting
• Report regularly on sales and plan results to Management
• Report market developments to other teams as necessary
