Shimano Joins 2011 NAHBS as Partner Sponsor
IRVINE, Calif (Feb 17, 2010) – Shimano has once again chosen to sponsor the 2011 North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), this year as a Partner Level Sponsor. Shimano has long appreciated the value of the unique venue and the opportunity for the smaller scale bicycle crafts-people to showcase their talents to the industry, media, and public.

The proliferation of transportation and commuting type bikes is one of the concepts that tends to make NAHBS original and also provides a great showcase for some of Shimano’s lesser known products that enjoy great success throughout much of the rest of the world. One example is the new Shimano Alfine 11 speed hub, a product that is a part of a family of utility oriented products and always a big attraction for show attendees.

“I am thrilled to have Shimano back in a sponsorship role for NAHBS.” said Don Walker, NAHBS president and founder. He added, “They have been with NAHBS for all but one show, our first in Houston, so they are one of the select few who not only have gone 6 for 7, but have been one of our most loyal supporters and sponsors as well.”
