SHIMANO RX100

Components Series for On-road Sports Adopting Basic and Beautiful Designs

SHIMANO RX100 appeared in 1989 as a lower-end model of SHIMANO 105. Since road bikes captured the spotlight as a cycle sport in the latter half of 1980s, Shimano introduced it as a cost-effective model with braking, shifting and other functions trickled down from its higher-end siblings. SHIMANO RX100 adopted the latest technologies, including 7-speed cassette and dual-pivot brakes and later dual control levers, so that anyone could enjoy riding easily. Focusing on offering versatility, Shimano adopted a clean and simple design, taking advantage of the beauty of aluminum to fit it for various scenes.
