We are committed to “human capital development” in order to create new value,
and we aim to coexist and prosper with society by providing captivating products and services and maintaining close communication with society.
Shimano believes that people are assets, not resources, and we are actively investing in creating an environment that encourages each and every employee to grow as individuals in order to increase the value of our human assets. In 2023, we established a specialized department to take care of human capital development, and we are continuing to focus on creating frameworks to foster the spirit and curiosity of our employees.
Shimano is actively engaged in a wide range of activities around the world to promote our corporate philosophy, manufacturing spirit and corporate culture. We continue to nurture our corporate philosophy of being a company that is close to nature and people through local contribution activities such as tree planting and clean-up activities, as well as events that spread the joy of cycling.
Since 2018, Shimano’s headquarters have been promoting the “Shu-Ha-Ri” project, which focuses on safety at the factory site, and have been working to create a safe workplace. Currently, we are expanding our activities to overseas factories, and we are strengthening and continuing to create systems that move both “creating a safe workplace” and “creating safe people”.
