On July 27 (Sat.) and 28 (Sun.), Shimano Inc. to host the 32nd Shimano Biker’s Festival at Fujimi Panorama Resort in Nagano. Surrounded by the rich nature of the Southern Alps and the Yatsugatake mountain range, the festival is one of the largest mountain bike festivals in Japan, offering a variety of fun activities from cross country and downhill races to off-road and on-road touring events. On the day of the event, approximately 130 Shimano employees went to the site as staff members.

For this event, a portion of the race course was incorporated into the Biker’s Village in the parking lot area, making it possible to enjoy food, music, and live broadcasts while watching the powerful race unfold before their eyes. In addition, the courses for both the downhill and cross-country races have been lengthened to provide more authentic off-road courses, and lectures by Shimano supported riders and "pursuit clinics" where you can ride with the riders and receive lectures are being held. The event was a lively venue that welcomed a total of approximately 1,800 participants over the two days.

Shimano has been hosting festivals like this one for many years, with events devised by employees themselves, to offer not only chances to compete but settings for diverse users to enjoy cycling, and to convey cycling’s appeal.
